I would like my first words were of thanks to Neteris for the trust placed in IoTsens as a part of the partners ecosystem that they have created to work in an efficient way around the Industry 4.0.
Both companies share a young, technological and innovative spirit that drives us to seek new challenges which always get put us one step ahead and be able to offer our customers the most innovative technological solutions together to achieve a better service. I firmly believe that this union will mean a strategic partnership to rise to all the challenges that come before us in the coming months.
The emerging global interest in the “IoT” (Internet of Things) or also called M2M (Machine to Machine), is extremely high given his bold mark in a digital world in the constant search of “the next big thing”.
The IoT opens a new paradigm in which processes that previously required a brigade of workers plying the streets monitoring the incidents status (example: opening / closing a water pump) can now be monitored without leaving the office or at home from your tablet / Smartphone and so, act on them to give a solution.
In this way we are achieving significant savings at different levels:
- operator time
- fuel economy
- lower CO2 emissions
Definitely, M2M is an overall cost savings for the company.
This simple example is the picture of many traditional sectors who decide to take the step to the digitization process to become what is already known as Industry 4.0. From my experience I can say that is not an easy step to take and which is very important to go well together.
First will be necessary to see how an already established solution IoT works and gets positive results at all levels from day one of implementation. And second, it should take appropriate decisions as which hardware, communications and software we should apply to each necessity. Decisions which by themselves may seem as simple as choosing for a particular project one or another communications platform can make the project successful or a complete failure.
First it will be necessary to convince business that IoT solution really works and with the project, positive and visible results are obtained at all levels and from day one of implementation. And second, it should take appropriate decisions as which hardware, communications and software we should apply to every necessity. Decisions which in itself may seem simple, but choosing one or other platform software for a particular project can make this a success or a complete failure.
Next October 6th in Madrid, with Neteris, we will show a practical example of IoT solution connected on an ERP, and several practical examples of IoT technologies with successful projects of IoTsens both nationally and internationally. In this way it can be better understood the value that these solutions bring to traditional industry market.
